Lodging

There is an abundance of lodging available in the Winchester area.  In the immediate vicinity of our home is Capon Springs and Farms.  It is a local resort which dates back to the  mid 1800's and is one of the last grand hotels of the era still in business.  They offer a plan that includes the room and three meals a day. There are two beautiful bed and breakfast inns within 15 minutes of our house.  I can heartily recommend Capon Springs & Farms, the Asa Cline House and the Country Inn at High View.  We have had friends stay at all three and they found each to be a friendly & warm environment.  

Winchester is about a 45 minute ride from our house and there are plenty of motels from which to choose.  The Old Waterstreet Inn looks interesting.  Wyndham Hotels has restored the old George Washington Hotel in the historic area of downtown Winchester.
