Directions from the Washington Beltway - via the Dulles Toll Road and Greenway 

1)      Take the Dulles toll road and Greenway to Leesburg.  At the end of the Greenway, exit to the left to Winchester.

2)      Take Rt 7 all the way to Winchester and Rt 81 North, about 30 miles or so.

3)      Take Rt 81 North towards Martinsburg, Hagerstown etc.  Go ONE exit to Rts 11, 37, 50 & 522.  At the end of the ramp, turn left and then get into the right lane.  As you go past the Liberty gas  station,                      continue in the right lane.  Take the 3rd exit, to Rt 50.  At the end of the ramp turn right onto Rt. 50

4)      Take Rt 50 past Gore, VA about 12 miles.  When you pass Gore, the Fire Dept will be coming up on your right.  At this point, move to the left lane as you will be turning left onto Rt. 259 in about 1 mile.  If you            go from a divided roadway to a two-lane roadway, you have missed the turn.

5)      Once you turn onto Rt 259, go approximately 14 miles to Capon Springs Rd.  You will pass a small country store and garage on your right.  This is about 11 miles from Rt 259.  At this point, continue another 3          miles.  Watch for the Capon Lake sign on your right.  Slow down because you will turn left at the bridge and cross the river.  From this point, continue about 3 miles or so to McIlwee Rd, the first hard surface              road on your right. You will know you are there when you (1) see the sign for McIlwee Rd (2) When you see a red building on your left and an octagon  house on the right.  Turn right onto McIlwee Rd and                    go .6 miles to our driveway on the right.  The first right turn you come to will take you into High Top subdivision.  A green and white number sign (644) on a tree at the next right turn marks our driveway.   If you            get lost call 304-874-3281 or stop and ask someone where McIlwee Rd is.  If none of that works PRAY!

Directions from Washington Beltway -via Rt 66  OR  from Rt 81 approaching from the south

1)Take I-495 W towards Virginia 

2)Take exit 49 to merge onto I-66 W toward Manassas/Front Royal and drive to Rt 81

3)Take exit 1A on the left to merge onto Rt-81 S toward Roanoke to the second exit
    
4)        Take exit 296 for US-48 & VA-55 toward Strasburg
    
5)        At end of exit ramp turn right onto US-48 W/VA-55 - Go 12.3 mi. (about 15 mins).  You will pass a bar & grille on your left.   At this point you are 3 miles to your next turn

6)       Turn right onto Capon Springs Trail. This is a hidden gravel road.  You will drive about 5 miles and will come out at the Capon Springs Hotel/Resort.  Continue through the 
           resort area passing the fire department on your left.  Just after the fire department you will see a red building on your right and that is where you turn left onto McIlwee Rd.

7)       Turn left onto McIlwee Rd to our driveway at 644 on the right. If lost, and your cell phone works, you can Lorrie & Henry’s house at

Directions through Frederick, Harpers Ferry, Charlestown & Winchester

1)       From Frederick get onto Rt 70 towards Hagerstown. Exit Rt 70 onto Rt 340 which is the first exit PAST Rt. 270. 
 
2)      Take Rt.340 all the way to Charlestown.  As you enter Charlestown, Walmart will be on your right.  Proceed to the exit onto Rt.9, off of 340.  You will pass over the highway and the exit will be on your right –               towards Berryville.  If you pass the Sheetz gas station you have missed the turn.   While this is a by-pass around Charlestown, it is still Rt.340.

3)       Continue on Rt.340 to Rt.7 which is about 15 miles or so.  As you approach Rt.7, at the interchange, there will be a traffic light.  Take the exit ramp on the right before the light.
 
4)       Take Rt.7 all the way to Winchester and Rt.81 North, about 12 miles or so.

5)       Take Rt.81 North towards Martinsburg, Hagerstown etc.  Go ONE exit to Rts 11, 37, 50 & 522.  At the end of the ramp turn left and then get into the right lane.  As you go past the Liberty gas station continue             in the right lane.  Take the 3rd exit to Rt.50.  At the end of the ramp turn right onto Rt.50

6)       Take Rt.50 past Gore, VA about 12-13miles.  You will pass the Gore Fire Dept on your right.  At this point move to the left lane as you will be turning left onto Rt.259.  If you go from a divided roadway to a two             lane roadway you have missed the turn.

7)       Once you turn onto Rt.259 go about 14 miles to Capon Lake, about 3 miles beyond Yellow Spring (country store and Riverside Auto)

8)        At Capon Lake turn left across the river a go about 3 ½ miles to McIlwee Rd on the right.  It is the ONLY right turn you can make onto another road.  You will see a red building on the left and that is where you            turn right.

9)        If you get to the fire department you’ve miss your turn.

10)     Once on McIlwee go .6 miles to 644 on the right and that is our driveway.  

11)      If you get lost call 304-874-3281 or stop and ask someone where McIlwee Rd is.and if none of that works PRAY!

Directions from points north on Rt 81

1)      Travelling south on Rt 81 proceed past Rt 70 at Hagerstown about forty five miles to Winchester Exit 317 - Rts. 11, 37, 50 & 522. 

2)        At the end of the ramp, turn right and then get into the right lane.  As you go past the Liberty gas station, continue in the right lane.  Take the 3rd exit to Rt 50.  At the end of the ramp turn right onto Rt. 50
