Our New House Construction
09/04/10 - Well, were back from a wonderful trip to Gatlinburg, TN.with Kristin, Sarah, Jacob and the kids. We hiked and toured in the Smokey Mountains Natl Park, went to Dollywood, the Dixie Stampede, played miniture golf, ate a lot, and just plain had fun. We had picture perfect weather the entire time. Now we're back home to see what took place on the house while we were gone. John's main goal now is to get the house dried-in as soon as possible. This past week has really ben HOT causing John and his crew to cut some of their days short. It gets pretty bad working on the roof. Needless to say the last two weeks were sunny and hot with only a shower or two.
This was taken on our way out to TN. We left Grandpa with David who took him to FL to see Kenny

09/26/10 - Well it's been a few days since I have been able to update. Right now, life is a whirl wind for us. Things are happening faster that we are able to keep up with. Since the last update on the 4th the roof is completely on and shingles are about to go on. Most of the windows are in, the electrician is pulling wire, we are in the process of selecting cabinets and appliances and the brick is going up fast. It won't be long before the inside work will begin. The weather has been great. The mornings are cool and the days are comfortable.

It was only a brief shower. Barely enough to wet the roof. Porch and bedroom roofs are completed.
